Congrats! You found it! The place you need to come FIRST to start your blog or online business.

Here’s where it begins, and let me be honest with you, starting your website is not fun. Who says that?! I do. If I told you otherwise, I’d be lying. It’s tough stuff doing it all on your own, but if you are like any other small business starting out in the online world, you don’t have the time or the finances to have someone else do it for you.
You want to get rolling on creating your awesome content and giving it to the world to see! But you’ve got to LOOK the part to bring in your following or clients.
That’s where this “Create Your Own Brand” Series comes in. I’m on a mission to help you get the technical side of creating and presenting your brand on your webpage so you can dominate your content creation and marketing on your own.
**Disclaimer: this isn’t a “How to Start a Blog” series. I feel like there are a TON of people writing about how to start your own blog (just search on Pinterest and you will see), this is supposed to help you after you’ve got your domain, hosting program, and know how to write and publish a post.
If you’re overwhelmed by the number of articles out there telling you how to start a blog, might I recommend Carly the Mommy? She is such an amazing writer and knows SO much about setting up your blog correctly. It’s a good place to start, I promise!**
These articles are going to step you through designing a brand, implementing that brand on your page, and designing your page like a web designer might without the web designer.
This is a working list, but here’s where to start:
- Step One: Color Scheme – We walk through how to create your own color scheme that speaks to you.
- Step Two: Font Selection – Font resources and selecting the right font for your audience.
- Step Three: Picking an Emblem – Resources to pick the perfect symbol that tells the world what you’re about.
- Step Four: Design Your Header – Apply your new logo and brand to your header and page on WordPress, with image size help.
Future ideas are in the works, they include how BluChic and Elementor can be your two best friends on your WordPress blog, how to get approved with Adsense on Wix, how to make long Pinterest pins without spending a dime on an online service, and the list keeps growing!
